Mountains and Trails Around Hoedspruit — A Local's Guide

The mountains around Hoedspruit are the northern Drakensberg escarpment — Mariepskop (1,944 m), the cliffs of Blyde River Canyon, and the Klein Drakensberg range to the west. Trails span easy viewpoint walks (God's Window, Bourke's Luck) to the demanding Mariepskop summit and the multi-hour Blyde Canyon routes. Best season: April to September.
