Leopard in Kruger National Park — A Complete Guide

By Mike Lawrie

The leopard is the most elusive of Kruger's big cats — solitary, nocturnal, and cryptically patterned — yet it is also the most abundant large predator in the park. Sightings are uncommon but possible, especially in the Sabi Sands and Timbavati reserves adjoining Kruger where habituated animals are more visible. From Hoedspruit, dry season (May–September) offers the best chance of encounters.
